It was one of his greatest achievements that exceed all other achievements in his life. The declaration of independence marked a new era for the United States of America. It was a formal resignation in writing, of the breaking of ties with Great Britain and its king. The declaration of independence gave America the right to its own democracy, liberty and freedom. Thomas Jefferson was also known for the Virginia Statues for Religious Freedom. The Virginia Statues for Religious Freedom gives citizens of America the right to worship freely. The Statues of religious freedom liberated the United States from the church of England. It gave individuals the right to worship how they wanted and which domination they wanted to, without rules and restrictions from the church of England. This was another great accomplishment for the Great Thomas Jefferson. Thomas Jefferson is a name that will be remembered throughout the history of America. He left behind a great legacy for the generations that followed after him. Thomas Jefferson will always be known for the contributions and service he gave to this great nation.
