The dust bowl of 1931 through 1940 was a brutal ten years. This storm was in so many different states most of the dust bowl happened in Kansas. The different states were horribly damaged by the tremendous storm. This storm happened when the Great Depression started. So many people lost their home from this horrible storm.

The Dust bowl of 1931, was caused by poor farming and over farming. Farmers long ago practiced farming too much. If farmers used the same soil for their crops it caused the soil to get bad from using it too much. When the soil got too old the wind started pushing the dirt in the air. All the states were close together that had bad farming so when the dirt was bad, the wind started it fly everywhere. Once the close states had bad farming the dirt/dust officially got blown by the wind in the air. The farming over in all the states formed the dust bowl to happen were the dirt and dust came up.

The Dust bowl was one of the worst storms of all of 1930 - 1940. The dust bowl /black blizzard lasted ten years, and sometime it died down sometimes and sometimes kicked up a bit. Nobody knew the storm was coming. No farmer didn't know what they were doing wrong so they kept doing the same thing several times. The storm also followed by the Great Depression. The storm was in the middle of the Great Depression that the storm was getting people even more depressed then they were already.
