Our project of Ice Melting Blocks has to do with Thermal Conductivity. This law was created by Fourier specifically for steel. Fourier considered mathematical laws that turned out to be the effect of heat that were meant to be independent. It is the reason why the ice melts, stating that heat always conducts from warmer to cooler. This shows the transfer of energy from the warmer block to the cooler one. Thermal Conductivity is mostly known for the rate of heat being transferred. The heat that is transferred occurs at a low rate across materials of low thermal conductivity rather than on materials of high thermal conductivity. However, Fourier had to prove that his theory was correct so he came up with different methods to measure Thermal Conductivity.
