The factors that contribute to European dominance over the Americas were advancements in technology, disease and geographical occurrences on the Eurasian continent. The development of steel in Europe allowed the conquistadors to invade the americas with ease. The weapons made from the steel allowed the europeans to kill with efficiency and little skill. It allowed a small group of men to conquer the Inca empire that spread roughly over two thousand miles. However the advance development in weaponry was not the only thing that gave the europeans an advantage over the Native Americans, it was biological elements also. Europeans carried small poxs with them because of their close relationship with their farm animals. Native americans who lacked this relationship were easy targets for this disease. One major factor was the intense need for gold and silver. European currency was based on gold and gold was discovered in the Americans it was not surprise that many europeans wanted to colonized it. The americas also had temporal climates that allowed for the production of crops such as corn, wheat, potatoes and sugarcane that could support large populations.
