It makes sense that after an attack involving an airplane we would want increased security at our airports. 9/11 most certainly took care of that for us. It is sad to me that it took a catastrophic event like the terrorist attacks to make us realize, “Hey, we need to know the five W's about who is travelling”. Historically, that's how it tends to be. Things like security are established because of some event that we don't want to see happen ever again. It's like if we were raised in a small town where everyone left their doors unlocked because nothing ever happens. Well, when something does finally happen, you begin to lock your door from then on.
