What is diversity? Race is a common answer one might bring up when attempting to answer this question, However diversity does not limit itself to your race, it goes beyond the physical appearance. Diversity is what makes a person unique and how they diverge from the crowd; from their way of thinking, to their reaction to obstacles as they come along. Being diverse is about understanding each other and moving beyond simple tolerating, to embracing and celebrating the rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual. Despite the fact that race play’s an important role on identifying a diverse individual, it is not the core root of a diversity.
