College Diversity
College prepares and shapes you for your future. It doesn’t just shape you with the education you get there but also the people on your campus shape you into the person you will be for the future. The best way a college’s campus does that is through diversity. Diversity can be defined as people coming together from different races, nationalities, religions and sexes to form a group, organization or community. All these different people coming together than creates a diverse campus. A diverse campus adds to the college experience, prepares us for life after college, and makes us more sociable people. A great benefit of attending a diverse campus is having the experience to meet and socialize with many different people. Attending a diverse campus will educate you and allow you to meet people with different cultures. A college with many international students also gives you the opportunity to look at religions, hobbies, ethnicities, or backgrounds you may not have been exposed to before. You can learn a whole lot from the exposure to the different types of people. Being a part of a diverse campus can always help prepare you for the real world. It will benefit you to meet new people of different backgrounds, ethnicities, ideas, and beliefs because out of college, it is most likely you will be encountering diverse people. The different people expose you to different languages and you may even learn another language if you become friends with one who speaks
