Greek entertainment was very important in the greek time and still is today. It would bring people together to do the things they enjoyed. One of the most popular kinds of entertainment were festivals. Many things happened at festivals like plays, competitions, games, and even sacrifices. Greek entertainment has benefited the world as it is today.
One of the most important festivals ever created were the Olympic Games. The Games were very religious and were made to honor Zeus, the king of gods. Even though the Olympics were banned, the modern Olympics started again in 1896 to show world peace and friendship. In the Olympics now, thousands of athletes from around the world gather together to compete against each other in several kinds of events. The top three winners are awarded with a medal and diploma. The Olympics have different events now but some of the original games are still played like running, discus throwing, and wrestling. Theater is now very different than in the ancient times. We now have many genres that are used in plays and more than three actors are allowed to be in one. Also, theatrons are now made differently. They are mostly indoor and are made of ,more than stone and wood. Both theater and the Olympics made the world a better and interesting place. Greek entertainment has benefited the world today.
