“You shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord” These words rang through the ears of the missionary Stanly Dale as he climbed a 1500 foot mountain, deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinee, while suffering from five arrow wounds. Before he had even set out on his trip to a lower valley village he was well aware of the danger involved, but that did not turn him off. He was going bring the gospel of Christ Jesus to the pagan Indians living there. The thought of dying while bring the good news of the gospel did not turn him off in the least. For there is no better death then to die bringing the gospel to unsaved souls, and this is what kept him going, along with the love to his Savior.
He had started out alone, however later his Yali converts and friends followed him at caught up as he came to the first village. He welcomed their company and set off to the next village, having found the first empty. The party soon came upon an empty hut, and as it was already dark they stayed there to spend the night. He recoiled in pain and went quickly to smoother the fire. The other companions of Stanly, along with two police officers who had come with Stanly’s converts, started fighting back. As Stanly went for the fire, another arrow struck him in the left thigh. Stanly rolled over to the side of the hut hoping to escape the arrows, but the hut had many holes and crakes, allowing two more arrows to hit him. One struck him in his forearm, and another pierced into his diaphragm and
