In a time when woman did not poses any rights it can be said that After reading the play of Mrs. Peter and Mrs. Hale I believe that Mrs. Wright is not guilty. Based on the findings on of Mrs. Peter and Mrs. Hale it can be concluded that Mrs. Wright was not treated well. We believe that after years of isolation from the outside world like her choir and things that she loved she became secluded and with Mr. Wright mistreating her she tried to find happiness in other things like the bird that she bought however when he killed her bird I believe she snapped she could not take it anymore. When they were sleeping she saw the opportunity to end her misery however when she saw what she had done she was shocked she went into a post traumatic state. …show more content…
Hale and Mrs. Peter showed many great examples of Mrs. Wright’s depression in the way she kept her kitchen and in the way that she was making her knots. One great example that was when Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters saw her knots they showed her emotion that is how they knew something was going on. Also I believe that the dead bird found by both Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters represented Mrs. Wright. Mrs. Wright even tried to preserve it for a while after Mr. Wright killed the bird. This bird was the last great thing in Mrs. Wright’s life it seems that Mr. Wright isolated from everything she loved and that could make her they lived in the middle of nowhere and she is a person that is so full of life she use to sing in a choir. An example that Mrs. Wright need to be in a psychiatric ward after she murdered her husband is how she acted. In the play Trifles by Susan Glaspell when Mr. hale found Mrs. Wright she was not in her right state of mind, Mr. Hale states that “She was rocking back and forth. She had her apron in her hand and was kind of pleating it.” This is how Mr. Hale found her, it seems as if she is in a post-traumatic state. She is not paying attention to what is going around like she is in her own little world. These examples show that Mrs. Wright is not
