Good morning/ afternoon, my name is Deandra and own a dairy farm in Australia. I personally believe that climate change is happening and it negatively impacting the agriculture in Australia. The anthropogenic climate change have influenced the temperature of the atmosphere to increase, causing drought and heatwave that can affect my cattle on the farm. As a farmer I predict that if the planet’s temperature keeps increasing, it will cause my farm to fail its production and my income. The purpose of this presentation today is to inform you about the impacts of climate change in agriculture and my solutions to slow down the process of the anthropogenic climate change.
Agriculture is humanity’s source of food but because of climate change, it is going to effect the production. Statistics show that the temperature’s average has increased 0.9 Celsius in Australia since 1910. The main influencer is from Greenhouse Gasses being released by human activities in the atmosphere by human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels and coal in factories producing carbon dioxide. If the carbon (CO2) increases in the atmosphere it will cause the temperature to intensify. High temperature, particularly when merged with low

Climate change will also have a substantial effect on livestock’s drinking water sources. Average annual rainfall in Australia is expected to decline. Much of Australia has experienced the Millennium Drought, a prolonged period of dry conditions from the late 1996 to mid-2010. The rising temperature from climate change can cause drought and will reduce stream flow and quality of water supply across Australia. If a drought occurs, the water supplies may be restrictive in term of quantity and quality and it will cause my cattle to suffer from long- term and mineral
