The constitution of the United States of America established the American government, politics, citizens and all the 50 states. The American Constitution calls itself as the “Supreme Law of the Land”. In our constitution, there are features to keep our nation civilized and our government to be not corrupt. It also ensures the citizen to not overpower its citizens. With these features, American government will be stronger and will not be demolish by anyone and anything. The concept of our constitution is based on popular sovereignty because it’s rule by the people. The government does not have an absolute power but the citizen have the power and the authority to govern our country. Under in this constitution, every citizen is equal and is protected by the government until they break a law that will convict them to prison. It does not matter on the person's status because everyone are all equal under the supreme law of the land. One of the main power of the citizen is that they can change parts of the constitution. Our laws are made appropriately but also changeable. For the American government, it is run by the people therefore each citizen can voice out their complaints or ideas to each representatives from their states. …show more content…
Under this system the separation of two powers of in American government, which is the national and state power. Both of it can pass laws that will help the people. Laws are passed by Congress, state legislatures and city councils. By using this system, each states can have their own officials to help them fix any local matters. While, the national government will act as a whole to keep the nation under control.
