“If we forgot, we are guilty, we are accomplices.” (Elie Wiesel). Night by Elie Wiesel originally published in 1956. This a tribute and story about the author Elie Wiesel. This is about his journey surviving the holocaust, how he changed, how he felt, and how he survived. These are quotes from the novel that are significant and poignant. Dehumanization is the process by which the Nazi gradually reduced the Jews to little less than things. They made the Jews feel like they're not even humans no more. Like they were worth nothing. “...Never shall I forget those moments that murdered my God and my soul and turned my dreams to ashes…” (32). This quote proves that Nazi’s took everything they had and burned it, they shattered everything they had.
