what is the importance of uniformity ,dress right dress, and discipline in the army? the importance of uniformity is to make everyone become and look equal. there are no differences between us, no separation because we are all a team. what is the point of uniformity, when a whole platoon is uniformed it shows discipline and being in uniform is one of the things that is part of the foundation of the army. This means the person wearing it has taken an oath to the government of the United States to defend the nation, even if it means they might get hurt or even die. The Army has two types of uniforms, one for dress and one for work. The Army work uniform is like a fireman’s uniform – it helps protect the wearer .The uniform provides protection for the wearer. It is a type of camouflage to protect the wearer from being seen. It tells you s/he is a member of the US Army. It tells you the person’s name. It tells you the person’s rank and unit she/he belongs to this all also shows that it divides us from all the other people. uniformity has to do with protecting us from the enemy. you see if we are always uniformed and everything is exactly the way it suppose to look we can siphon out the one that does not belong. then we can find out who is the enemy who is our brother. we use this as a form of organization and to siphon those who do not belong. it also help keep us discipline which is also another quality the army survives on. without discipline there would be no respect. We as soldier need to live by these rules in order to survive down range. without this kind of instruction we would not learn any sort of discipline and responsibility. and what is discipline, is to teach yourself to do what is right at all times no matter what the situation. force yourself to keep to the rules and regulations at all time. discipline is to always know what to do when it is required and to
