Patriotism defines as devoted love, support, and defense of one's country; national loyalty. Many Americans hold strong pride in our country. Nonetheless, we are proud to be American citizens and we will to do all that it takes to keep our country a safe, free, and well running country. As an American teenager, there are many responsibilities I can do to help my country. I can learn about the way the government works so when I become of age to vote I can make informed decisions. I can make sure I am always obeying the laws and setting good examples for the younger generations of America. Not only this but, I have the responsibility of having integrity. Honesty, morality, decency, sincerity, ethics, virtue, and righteousness. A patriotic United States of America citizens’ characteristics. As an American teenager, I need to have integrity to defend our country in times of need. I need to be honest not only with myself but with the law and government. Righteousness, ethics, and virtue will allow citizens to do right by their country. Whether it is defending the minority or against a foreign invader. When citizens are sincere in all they do, no one would be discriminated against, allowing people to be decent. All peoples are charged with the responsibility to love, support, and defend our nation while having great pride in it. I contain the duty to always have integrity in everything I do. As a citizen I shall always be law abiding and set an exceptional model for all younger generations. To prepare for when I become old enough to vote, I shall always be notified of current events in our state, nation, and world. Even though I am not yet an adult, there are many things I am responsible for in our nation. I hold great patriotism in my nation and am proud to call my elf an United States of America
