The debate over the greatest athlete of all time has been reopened because of the epic Super Bowl comeback that was orchestrated by Tom Brady. Down by 25 points at one point, Tom Brady pulled off the impossible and by winning his fifth NFL championship he cemented his legacy as the greatest NFL player of all time. Although there are many athletes that can be considered the greatest there is no doubt that the greatest professional athlete of all time is Michael Jordan. Most of all, nobody changed the game of sports like Michael Jordan did. He revolutionized basketball through his athleticism and skills. Before, big men were valued more than guards and Michael Jordan changed that. Rules were implemented from Jordan's greatness. Other teams had to create rules to beat Jordan. The Detroit pistons created a defense where people would bully Jordan but Jordan didn't let them conquer. That has never happened to anybody in any sport. Michael Jordan intimidated his opponents like no other athlete ever has. Opposing players awed him and feared him at the same time. What made Jordan great was that he hated losing. He would literally give his life to win. No other athlete was as dominant or competitive to winning. That's what made him the greatest. Many other athletes may have more championships and be more successful than Jordan but nobody attained dominated sports, changed the game, or was more mentally tough than Michael Jordan.
