Odysseus completely demonstrates all of the main characteristics of an epic hero. His strength, intelligence, and bravery helped him get out of a complicated situation. His desperate need to go back home is what pushed him forward in his journey back home. Nonetheless, he still does have some weaknesses such as, severe pride, lack of patience, and a bad temper but that did not let him down and he did not give up. Without all these qualities Odysseus would not be considered a hero.
