The Columbian Exchange was a major time in history of the cultural and biological exchanges between the new to old world. When Columbus discovered the Americas in 1492 this caused many changes to happen. There was the transfer of diseases. There was change to foods, livestock, and cash crops that were widespread. Domesticated animals, cash crops, and crops played important roles in the development of the new and the old world.

Llamas we an animal that played one of these important roles. Llamas were able to be domesticated which played an important part. Llamas we able to to carry up to two-hundred pounds of goods, although they could not be ridden. Llamas were known as the humpless camel. Unfortunately, many Llamas died due to
