What Was The Difference Between Harris And Ashley's Goals

The two stories that I read about are about two slaves on each of the stories. One was about love. and one was about escape Both Wesley and Jeffrey are slaves, but they are more than this. Of course to be a slave they are both colored. According to the master, what the slaves called their owners, they could have been treated differently. Each person has their own set goals. Their goals differ which will be talked about in the next paragraph. Having a goal and making an effort to accomplish it makes these two men brave. Each story has some unexpected events as it flows. You can vision these unexpected events as you read because the two passages describe them in great detail. You would think one thing will happen as you read downward, but when you finish reading you are surprised by how it ends.

Wesley Harris has a goal that is to escape and make it to freedom. He has friends that attempt to escape with him His friends fail while Wesley makes it out alive. He gets hurt physically when trying to defend himself. When defending himself, he gets shot in the arm that he was

If it was not for the family that was sold along with Dorcas, Jeffrey's goal would have been accomplished. Sadly, Jeffrey did not get to be with his beloved one. This hurts him more emotionally than anything. Jeffrey is nothing like Wesley Harris. Jeffrey remains a slave and is sent to a rice plantation of the Great Swamp. Jeffrey does not attempt to escape slavery as Wesley did. Although Jeffrey is a slave, he is not worried about escaping. Jeffrey is more worried about Dorcas, in another term, means he is selfless. Jeffrey did try his best to get his master to buy Dorcas, but he gave up too easily. He could have pushed harder to achieve his goal. He does things impulsively, more like he does things without putting thought into it first. He is also obedient, which means he is obeying or willing to obey with orders or requests that his master gives
