Where and how a person grows up will play a part in shaping their identity. Usually the people that live in the same area have something in common including age, nationality, personal, or economic values. The social part of the people in the same area are also different. Both Wheatland and DeWitt hold unique people. However, they have similarity and differences with the people in the towns. Both are observed and evaluated on how the people live and what it’s like to live where they live. Identity is something that each individual has, because it is the things made up about them that makes them who they are. The neighborhood that was taken in closer consideration is 244th St. cul-de-sac. The houses there all have brick fronts and no sidewalks. There is a children’s swing set in almost all the backyards and some with trampolines located near the house. The yards are bigger here and kept up with barely any weeds growing in. There are many trees planted there there are fairly new and not very high yet. There are even fruit trees such as apple, cherry, plum, and peach. Most yards also hold a garden to plant fresh produce in the summer. Although these things can take up quite a lot of room in the yards there is still an open space for children and animals to play. Mostly everyone has an animal and minor children, so there is a sign posted in the beginning while entering the cul-de-sac to drive slow, because there is children at play. The road is kept up to date and has no recent repair due to their not being a need for it. On a nice day people take a walk around the road even though there is not a sidewalk to stay off the road. The only people who enter are at least familiar with the set up and are careful when driving. Every household had a few set of vehicles and some even more than the many of people that live in the house. However, no neighborhood is the same. The identity of the people in the neighborhood tend to be similar due to them wanting to live in the same area with the same people.(Willians) It is easy to tell some things are the two just by the appearance of both places. Gathering information for both have become realistic realities of how they live. Identity is not limited to anything and it is expressed in so many ways.(Galliher) Sometimes it is expressed without people knowing that it is. Lastly, the two towns are located in living where they do for many reasons and for most people it fits them where they are located.
