When I Came To America

Many changes have occurred in my life. Some were very small, and they did not affect my life very much. However, changes that affected my life forever started when I came to the United States of America. I was born in Hakha,Chin, the Capital of Chin States, Burma. On September 8th, 2008, I came to the United States of America. When I came to this country, I was only eleven years old. Since the first day, I realized I had to make huge changes in my life because everything was completely different from my country. The way people live, the language, the culture, and even the food were all different. I had to eat food that I had never seen or tasted before. I also had to learn the language, which was the most difficult challenge for me. I felt like I had become deaf and dumb. I didn't even dare to go out alone because of the language obstacle. I didn't have anyone that I could hang out or communicate with. My life was very boring, sad, and miserable. In my country, I never had such difficult problems because I had my close friends and relatives. I could go out and play around with friends because I knew the places. I could also communicate with everyone without any problems. However, the situations were not the same living in this country.
