The novel, Matched, by Ally Condie, is an amazing novel. It’s impressive and it has superb dystopian romance. This novel will put you through so many emotions. As you read the novel you would put yourself in Cassia’s shoes and know how she feels towards the love triangle.
Matched is about a girl named Cassia that creates a love triangle after she gets matched with her best guy friend, Xander. They live in a society full of lies and the people don’t know what’s going on, how they die, or how the system works. The town they live in Maple Tree, Borough is a mysterious place. They give everyone the same food everyday and it has to be healthy. They rarely eat junk food. They only eat desserts in special events which rarely happens.

At the event Cassia and Xander went together.Xander knew what was going to happen but Cassia didn’t. Then when it was Cassia’s turn she saw who came up on her screen and it was Xander. She was happy because she got her best friend as her matched couple so she was engaged to her best friend. After that she saw another guy pop up in her microcard, a guy she also knows. Ky Markham. Then after her and Ky met up and started hanging out they started having feelings for each other.

It must stink that they can’t get matched with the person they want to be partnered with. In order to fall in love you have to feel something special and apparently that’s how Cassia felt about Ky. Since her getting matched with Xander was forced when Cassia started hanging out with Ky she started feeling things because that’s how you would regularly start a relationship and then get engaged you wouldn’t just get engaged out of nowhere. So that’s how the love triangle was created and started.
