Throughout the novel ¨Lord of the Flies¨”written by William Golding, the reader sees that there is a power struggle going on throughout the novel about Ralph’s and Jack’s characteristics on being leader for the choir group after their plane on an island and when the plane crashed all of the adults, including the pilot died in the crash, so it was up to the choir to survive on their own so the first thing they decided is to set up a meeting and decide who their leader is going to be to take charge of the choir. A good leader has to have respect, and control of his followers, also has to be strong physically and mentally. The two main characters express some of these characteristics, one more than another. Jack would be a more effective leader
