Lucifer, Satan and the Devil are three different names for the same Angel. Lucifer was created by God. He was called Lucifer while he lived in heaven and the history of Lucifer began with riches and honor. Lucifer was living like a king and he was next in honor to Gods dearest son. His countenance, like those of the other angels, was mild and expressive of happiness. His forehead was high and broad, showing a powerful intellect. His form was perfect; his bearing noble and majestic. A special light beamed in his countenance and shone around him brighter and more beautiful than around the other angels; yet Christ, God's dear son, had the pre-eminence over all the angelic host. He was one with the Father before the angels were created. Lucifer was envious of Christ, and gradually assumed command which devolved on Christ alone. His appearance was mesmerizing. Satan lives frozen in the middle of Hell and is portrayed as a giant demon. Satan has three faces and a pair of bat like wings. When Satan starts to flap his wings, he creates a cold wind that will freeze the ice surrounding him and the other people that have a sin in the Ninth Circle. the wind the he creates is so powerful it can be felt through the other layers of Hell and in his three heads he eats Brutus, Judas, and Cassius. In Dante's stories he portrays Satan as less powerful and receives the same punishments as the rest of the sinners and in his story, Dante makes Satan not talk in his book the Inferno.
