Whenever a tragedy occurs, everyone races to put the blame on someone. In the play, Romeo and Juliet develop a very fatal love. Romeo and Juliet both die because of a miscommunication but the question remains, “who is to blame?” Yes, Romeo and Juliet killed themselves to be together, but the blame for their deaths can not be put solely on them.Tybalt and Capulet caused the most damage and ultimately, lead to the demise of the two love birds. Therefore, Tybalt and Capulet are the real people to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Tybalt is to blame mostly because of his pride. Pride often clouds people’s judgement but, with Tybalt, pride makes him lose any sense of rationality and judgement. In this case, even though Romeo made a conscious decision to drink poison, and Juliet intentionally stabbed herself, it's not their fault they died. A love like theirs only happens once in a lifetime so when they were forced apart by the outside world they did everything the could to get back to each other. When Romeo heard of Juliet's death his heart was set on being with her when he died. Juliet wasn't actually dead but she was willing to risk death by drinking a potion to fake her death. Romeo and Juliet would do anything to be together so when Tybalt started a fight that got him killed and Capulet tried to force Juliet to marry, the couple were forced to kill themselves to be together. During difficult times people often take the easy way out and put the blame on the victims, but a love like Romeo and Juliet's is so rare and hard to come by, that Romeo and Juliet should not be blamed. Some may try and argue that their tragic end was their fault because they killed themselves, but really the only people to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet were Tybalt and
