The general storyline of Romeo and Juliet is about two lovers hailing from two feuding families and defying expectations in their short three day love affair. The play presents many attempts to stop the hatred but only after the deaths of the lovers, the grudge consequently ends. In due course, the hatred the families had for each other was from a strong need to maintain pride and dignity and both parties neither capable of overcoming the ancient grudge and tension.
