Who wants Beef?
From breaking news to Fashion trends, the most significant to the smallest issues are discussed on the Internet. The Internet has become where anyone goes to get information. It is easily accessible to anyone due to the era that people live in. It does not matter who or how old someone may be, intertwining occurs with everyone on social media platforms. The most notable and used platforms are Facebook and Twitter. Everyday, the majority of people use social media whether it is Facebook or Twitter (see figure 1). Important figures, such as the president of countries, celebrities, and owners of big companies, use social medias to interact with the public and one another. These are used to voice opinions on all sorts of matter.

This is a recurring issue that social media faces, where people hide there true identity and say things about others. They use this method, because they fear being referred to as a person with bad intention. Additionally, they feel like they can say whatever comes to their mind when it comes to issues or people that interest them. Furthermore, Majority of disputes can be found on twitter due to first amendment allowing the right to have the freedom of speech and the need to voice out opinions about particular subjects. This has happened numerous times as a person has hidden behind his or her account to scrutinize badly someone they know or random stranger. For example, recently a young lady posted a series of pictures that showcase her body. She was just trying to exhibit her beauty, as she wanted to empower herself. However, someone individuals severely criticized her of this narcissistic act of self-indulgence (Sarasy 533). They believed that she had no right to feel this self-absorb (Sarasy 533). Thus, bickering occurred from both sides of the argument. After a while, an important figure spoke on her behalf to stop the dispute. There are still people with civility on the Internet that came to her aid during the dispute. Zendaya, an American actress, took action by giving her a position to work for her and disrupting the feud. However, this is one case out of many and people on the Internet bash young ladies daily, if they do not fit the stereotypical “perfect” girl. Not everyone is as lucky as her; she may have stopped one individual, but there are plenty more out there and it does not help that majority of people prefer interacting with each other online.
