Happiness. Power. Convincing. Downfall. Passing. All of these are accounted in the play, The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare. In this play people rise to power only to lead to their downfall. Brutus is the best example of this, a tragic hero. A tragic hero is when a person starts with power, respect, and happiness but due to a major flaw, they lose power, respect, and happiness. Brutus is a well respected senator, but he is very gullible and Cassius eventually able to persuade Brutus to kill his best friend, Caesar, and that would then lead to Brutus’ own death.
