Analysis of Current Policies and Activities
Since Whole Foods Market believe that their activities and processes of the company can have a large impact on the environment, they intends to focus on sustainability program and also green mission. The company has several programs and campaigns such as 3R’s, green energy, carbon tracing and reduction, green building and design, organics, and other green initiatives.

Lastly, the company reduces their landfill waste by using composting way, which can reduce up to 75 percent of waste in some regions (Green Mission, n.d.). According to Young (2015), he mentioned that Whole Foods Market is the first store that received a regional award for Outstanding Achievement in Food Waste Prevention and Diversion, which is a program that set and create by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This challenge enhances organizations to devote as much of their surplus food as possible. Moreover, food recovery does not only helps organization to reduce environmental impact and struggle with climate change, but also helps organization to save money on disposal cost and protect the environment. Second is Reuse; the company strongly influences customers to use reusable grocery bags by giving affordable bags and giving at least a nickel per bag for refund. Renewable energy is the energy that get from the natural sources, which are renewed at once, by managed or natural process such as sunshine, wind, wood, wave power, and crops. Many people perceive that renewable energy is unlimited; in contrary, it is not true. Standard renewable cannot be renewed perpetually; for example, the sun itself will not last long forever. From this point, some scientists prefer to describe renewability in term of the ongoing human relationship to given energy resources (Chapman, 2008).
