The purpose of this article is to highlight gender equality specifically in home and work and how it evolved throughout the years due to different factors. Although both articles are similar in a sense as they both touch on gender roles and gender stereotypes in our society as well as how both males and females are expected to conform to society expectations ,both articles emphasize on two different things . Coontz argument is more about changing both females and male issue of balancing work and their life at home , whilst Pollits argument is more about how there could be gender equality and no traditional stereotypes if parents raise their children without reinforcing gender stereotypes and allow their child to be open to many things.
