There once was a boy named Giocante. Giocante’s father happened to be the captain of a French ship. One day in 1789 a battle broke out between the French and British on their ships, Giocante had been ordered to hide until his father said he could come out. After a while Giocante still did not hear the command, so he simply stayed in his place. He knew the ship was going down in flames and that he couldn’t disobey his captain. Unfortunately, Giocante died because he made the crazy decision to not save himself from the hot ablaze surrounding him. Of course there were many insane things that led up to his final decision to stay on the ship. Giocante was crazy for many reasons. There was a good chance that his father was going to die, he was fighting to win. Giocante most likely knew of this, so why didn't he leave the ship? It's crazy he wouldn’t save his own life because he had a “faithful heart”. I would hope his father would want him to save himself when he died on the ship. Last one is that he was crazy for not leaving any sooner. He saw the many dead bodies around the ship, did he not know that death might do him part? He should have jumped off that boat! He would not have been selfish for jumping off right away, he was just a young boy who was put in the wrong place at the wrong time. Although he is young and not very wise, he should’ve known to save himself from the horrible things happening around him. All together Giocante was crazy for not making the decision to leave the ship. In the end he could have survived and told everyone all about it. He could have lived a long and happy life if he would have taken a chance and tried to make it. Although life isn’t as good without your family, making friends along the way still would have fulfilled his happiness. He’s crazy for waiting and watching his life fall apart before him, as the people he spends most of his days with perish through the
