A Totalitarian government is a form of government that theoretically permits no individual freedom and that seeks to subordinate all aspects of the individual’s life to the authority of the government. Fascist totalitarians used a political movement that consists of strong centralized governments powered by powerful dictators. Mussolini was a totalitarian dictatorship because he took control over all military policies and he decided to take over all Italy. He forged the fascist movement in the 1919-1921 then seized dictatorial power. Hitler was facist like Mussolini. Hitler and Nazis began to take over all governments throughout germany. Stalin used terror to gain complete control over armey and he also used terror over intelligentsia because he feared they could lead a revolt against him. Hitler had a secret police called the gestapo they would arrest enemies of the state.Everyone was scared of this secret police squad because they were scared to get put in concentration camps. Mussolini used terror to create a fascist state. He made squads to go into streets to clear out socialist and communist.
