The 20’s was a very crucial time for african americans. They were going through the racial era and were judged and treated like they weren’t human. This was a tough life, especially when you are judged on anything and everything you do. So to become successful in this environment it is extremely impressive. That is exactly what Louis Armstrong did, he overcame the negatives and showed that blacks are equal.
