Why Do Athletes Have Greed

Greedy is a self desire for something especially wealth or power. Someone could be greedy with food, money, etc. Usually this person has an obsession with that certain object. Professional athletes are a good example of being greedy with money. Some people has an obsession with food, but they might have a reason of why they are doing that. Greediness can be an evil thing because it can get to your head that you are better than everyone else.
Professional athletes have a tendency to be greedy with their money. For Example, a lot of the athletes grew up in poor areas, where poverty is extremely bad there, some of them didn’t know their fathers because they were either in prison or abandoned them after they found out that their mother was pregnant with them, but once the athletes get wealthy, they buy expensive cars and houses right away instead of saving some back for their retirement. Professional athletes only play a certain amount of years in their careers, but once they are out the league, there is no income after that unless they sign endorsements or do commercials after retirement. If they get greedy during their time in the league than they will likely be broke after their playing days are over like Allen Iverson that I know of for a fact. Some people may eat an excessive amount of food because of stress in their daily lives. People maybe greedy with food because of a tragic event happened in their life like Amanda Berry, where she was starved for multiple days or weeks, but because of that fear of going hungry like that again. Everyone handles certain situations differently. When I have a lot of stress going on, I have a tendency to be greedy with food and eat too much than what I normally do. Greediness can even be at a family event, like grabbing a large amount of food when no one else hasn't had a bite to eat
