Some people believe that men do get paid more money than women do but in reality, the wage gap between both genders is nonexistent. Various factors contribute to the idea that the wage gap is a myth which consists of : historical context between both genders, discrimination and inequality in the workplace, and feminists creating the myth.
The Differences
The wage gap and earnings gap are two different things that are often getting confused with each other. The wage gap is when a women and a man work the same hours and job but one gender gets paid more than the other. Many say that women are paid less while men get paid more even though they work at the same job. In many cases this is true but only due to a couple of reasons. One of the main reasons for either gender being paid more is the amount of hours they put in. One get paid for the hours they put in rather than just getting paid over what gender they identify with.
