About 40% of kids in the us play football at the ages of 13-17. I have always wondered how hard it will be for me to make it to college football. It is so difficult to make it to a D1 college for a sport. Playing a sport for a D1 school has been a thing in my head ever since I first walk onto a field. Football is really important to me. Playing D1 is an all time goal for me, if I made it to college football I would be the first in my family to play a D1 sport, and getting a scholarship would help a ton because then you might not have to pay for school. I'm pretty sure every kid has had a dream about doing something great whether it's playing a sport, making a million dollars, or doing something to help make the world a better place. I am in 8th grade now and I know some of these things might be hard to do, but no one says we have to stop trying. Football is like food to me, I can't live without it. Everyone wants to get a scholarship, but not everyone gets one. It is super hard to get a scholarship because i'm basically going against everyone else. If I don't get one than football in basically over for me. In football i have to get a scholarship because that is the only way I can get on the team. My dad played in college and I really want to play like him. I want to be like he was when he was playing. Football in a really popular sport so you have to make the best of the shots you have. The fact remains, these are so important to my football life. Like going and playing a D1 sport, being the first in my family to play D1 sports, and getting a scholarship would make paying for college so much easier.
