When the question came up I had no clue how I was going to answer it. The simple “Why?” I was lost, confused and not completely sure how I would answer it. When I really started to think about it, I remembered why- why I began down this path when I started college. In order for me to explain why I am choosing to pursue my degree in exercise science, I have to go back almost 20 years. Back then it was my three brothers and me living with my parents when they explained to us that they were going to adopt two more boys. Both of these boys had special needs including muscular dystrophy. Ever since my family brought those two little boys into our life everything changed. My mindset truly began shift from all about me to helping them anyway I could.
