I’ve arrived at a point in my life where I feel it’s necessary to push some boundaries. For the past thirteen years, my days have been spent with the same 231 students. There is no way to escape horrendous middle school memories, and gossip reaches everyone, even the teachers, by second period. So, while thinking of my future plans, I decided I want to take the path less traveled. To me, this means applying to colleges in states I’ve never visited before, far from the state schools that will house at least thirty percent of my peers next year. College to me means new experiences and seeing life from different points of view, not partying with my childhood acquaintances. New Orleans has always appealed to me, based on its rich, diverse history
