Would you like to play a sport individually or with a team? Then volleyball or golf would be an excellent sport to try out. Volleyball and golf are both different and similar sports in many ways. Volleyball and golf are the same in some ways. They both use a ball, whether it’s a volleyball or a golf ball. In both sports you have to have the right technique. In volleyball, if you don’t have the right technique, the ball won’t go where you would like it to go. In golf, if you don’t have the right technique, than the ball won’t go very far and you will have a higher score than what you want. Both volleyball and golf are Olympic sports. As of 2016, golf is now an official sport of the Olympics. They both have uniforms, in volleyball you have to match your teammates so that you look like a team. You play golf by yourself with no one helping you along. (Unless you do a scramble, which isn’t “real” golf, then you would use another person.) You must use golf clubs to play. Golf is more expensive because you have to buy the clubs and have to buy balls which are $20 a dozen. Also for good quality clubs, they cost around $150 per club which can add up very quickly. In volleyball you play games, but in golf you play holes. Golf is a quiet game, do with the concentration involved. Golf typically starts as a school sport in high school. Golf takes more time than a volleyball match due to the long amounts of walking and waiting for other players. A round of 18 holes walking takes about 5 hours. In order to win in golf, you must have the lowest score. To conclude golf and volleyball have some similar qualities but also some very different qualities. Golf is more an independent game, where as volleyball you need a team to help you. Both games are great sports to play for different reasons.
