Guns. This is a topic that is a controversial in today’s society. Gun control is the set of laws or policies that regulate the manufacture, sale, transfer, possession, modification, or use of firearms by civilians. Enact, defined by Merriam-Webster, means to establish by legal and authoritative act; specifically: to make into law. More gun control laws should be enacted because the gun show loophole, little restrictions for guns, and the death caused by guns. The gun show loophole is the ability for unlicensed sellers to sell guns to people at gun shows without any background checks. This is bad because anyone can get a gun at a gun show and walk away with it with a felony or major crimes they committed. ATF estimates 5000 gun shows are held annually and 25% to 50% of sellers are unlicensed (csgv.org). This is an alarming amount of sellers that can sell to anyone and needs to be changed. This combined with the little regulation with gun holders is a problem.
