Lying is not always bad and there are many supporting reasons why. Lying is okay when it is not being done to be cruel. If a person lies to preserve your feelings then it is fine. As an individual lies to make another feel bad then it is not justified. Lying can be justified when you are protecting someone or something.
Lying can be necessary in some situations. “On rare occasions, lying to protect others can literally be a matter of life or death.Anne Frank survived as long as she did because those sheltering her lied to the Nazis”(Gray et.al., 1992). This example explains how sometimes you have no choice but to lie if you are trying to protect someone.This shows that lying was not hurting anyone it actually helped preserve people's’ lives.
