There is only one thing in this world that matters to me
Music
Marching band is a wonderful place
With 12 hours practices and 5-minute water breaks every hour
When I am at marching band I am a different person
The competitions fill me with a competitive spirit
That overtakes me and changes the person I am
It has shaped me into a new individual
One who can feel comfortable in his surroundings
But just as I start to enjoy the feeling, it comes to a screeching halt
And then I have to go sixth long and punishing months of nothingness
From the end of November to the beginning of May
The only thing that keeps me sane is Mariah Carey
Her songs burst with emotions and powerful messages
Music is the love of my life
