Muckrakers were very important in the 20th century because they brought attention to political corruption, labor flaws and the living standards of people by writing articles which explained why they know that society is being cheated of a quality life.Muckraker was important because stopped child labor. Child labor was heavily used during the early twentieth century. Muckraker journalist put an end to this by writing an article or novel, thus bringing much attention to the cause. The stories showed the dangerous and immoral jobs that the children were obligated to.
