Stem cells are the cells that form into more specialized cells throughout the body overtime. Stem cells can also be used to help heal various types of diseases. The stem cells in our body are capable of creating different specialized cells in our body they also help repair special tissue as well. Stem cells are also able to self renew or divide without specializing. Stem cells also have a long life span which allows them to self renew for long periods of time as well. The stem cells are able to reproduce therefore they can be moved to different parts of the body and can be used to heal certain diseases such as cancer by taking out the cancer cell and replacing it with a new stem cell to help cure the disease. For preventing certain diseases in the body the stem cells can be replaced before the disease itself actually occurs. To treat the

These cells are also undifferentiated which allows them to be used in all parts of the body if needed which is helpful if you have bad embryonic stem cells that you can replace them. If scientists and doctors were to further research we could possibly use these stem cells to heal cancer.A disadvantage of embryonic stem cells is the way they are acquired because in order to get to those stem cells you have to destroy other cells which makes it an unpopular way to move the stem cells. One advantages of adult stem cells is that they can be harvested from the individuals blood, fat or bone marrow. When harvesting adult stem cells the embryos in our body are not destroyed.A disadvantage to adult stem cells is that they are a determined stem cell which means the cell cannot be used in all parts of the body to heal someone. So this limits the amount of procedures adult stem cells can be used in because they can only be used in the ones that have the same cell
