The Great Gatsby is a story narrated by Nick Carraway. He moved from the mid-west to start his career off in New York. He lived on the island of West Egg, which is the poorer region, opposite of East Egg, which is the wealthier region, where his pretentious companions Tom and Daisy lived. They chattered and partied a considerable amount, and Tom is going behind daisy's back with a woman named Myrtle Wilson. Everybody knew with the exception of Daisy and Mr. Wilson
Nick lived adjacent to a secretive man named Gatsby, who threw legendary gatherings, however nobody knew anything about him. Carraway became friends with him and discovered that he is in love with Daisy. They almost got together when they were younger, but he was excessively poor
