Kids should stay in school until eighteen. Here are a few reasons why kids should. Kids that stay in school until they’re 18 will have a much better future. Also staying in school until you’re 18 can help you financially. Finally, staying in school gives you a “smaller chance of getting in trouble with the law” says Missy Remiss. This is why being financially stable is a must! A data analysis from 2009 shows that a high school dropout only makes 19,540 in a year. But someone with a high school diploma and a four year college degree makes 46,930 a year. That’s almost a 25,000 dollar difference which is crazy! Some people may be thinking 19,450 a year is good but is it enough to live off of? No.

Most student dropouts dropout for the wrong reason which is sad. School is difficult but it’s worth it in the end. Just as education advocate Missy Remiss said “if students make a reconcable decision to leave school for work, that decision is likely to have a negative impact”. That’s why staying a school and graduating is a better choice. Those without a high school diploma have lower earnings and they a less likely to end up in jail or on the streets doing not so good things.

Staying in school until you’re eighteen will make life easier once you’re older. You will be able to have a nice job if you choose so, you’ll make a good amount of money, you can support yourself and not have to rely on anyone else, and not end up in jail or on the streets.
