Women have come a long way from their stereotypes of the twentieth century. It not a true statement when someone claims that women should be protected as if women are a weak and defenseless person. This is only a claim made by men who believe they are the ones who dominate between the sexes. A feminist man would argue that benevolent sexist attitudes are still stereotypes of women. Even though they might sound more pleasant to hear than hostile sexism. An anti-feminist male would in most cases agree to the statement. They would read the text and agree that women should be protected and cherished by men. Men are made to be seen as masculine with tough attitudes and therefore must be the ones to protect a woman. Therefore, they would agree that benevolent sexism is not bad when men are trying to do the right deed by protecting their
