Often, people try to count someone else’s work as their own. This is known as plagiarism. Plagiarism is wrong in many ways. For example it can deny someone the necessary practice learn writing skills that may be crucial in the future. Additionally a person denies themselves the opportunity to receive an honest evaluation on their skills when a person copies. Plagiarism also sets a precedent to people in a young person’s future, possibly causing them to question someone’s honesty. Along with this plagiarism discards an author’s credit for their work.
