Racism still excists because of racial slurs,race violence, and inequality. No one is ever a racist, judging by a parade of apoligies from celebs, politicians. I think racism still excists because people think they´re better than other people because of thier race. Racism has been around for a long time. Its still around because our society has made people think bad of other people so believe them and thats a big reason racism is still around.Lack of awearness is another reason racism is still around. You see another person not your race and you automatically think bad of them.
Another reason racism is still a problem is because is people asume a persons lifestyle…show more content… If someone likes a type of music and you dont like it that doesnt mean you should think bad of them.Also if they like dressing a certain type of way for example having there jeans lower doesnt mean there bad people, maybe there just trying to fit in.Just because of a our races history doesnt mean we should be treated bad. People judge other people just because of there style of dressing or what they like to listen to, but they probably dont even know what that person likes to do.
Another way to prove that racism is still alive is when people judge other people unfairly in court. There has been alot of times when a male black, or hispanic has been judged wrong by the judge in court. Just because of thier race means their guilty? I dont think so they should be judged fairly, not unfairly. Just because thier a different race means thier guilty?
A 2011 study found that white people are more likely to use perscription drugs then latino, black people. Then why are other races going to jail ? I think because of racism. White people are more likely to use the drugs but dont get found guilty and thier let free. And if a latino or black person gets charged with drug charges, most of the time their ¨guilty¨.
