Respect is when you are polite and kind to the people all around you. You don’t disrespect the adults nor your peers by being rude and obnoxious. Respect is when you admire what people do for you and not take advantage it. You respect people and not judge them for making the decisions they make. Respect is all about not being rude or ignoring your elders or people in general.

Respect is important because it shows you have manners and are polite. Also, why respect is important because you support people on what they believe. Respect is important because it is a shows a level of maturity. When you treat people with respect you earn respect in the process. Being respectful is a very good quality to possess.

Respect can be shown in many ways, here are some examples. The first way, you can show respect is by being quiet when adults or your peers are speaking. You can also show respect by supporting people in their decisions they make. Respect can also be shown by saying thank you and please when you receive something or ask for something. You can show respect by making eye contact when you are speaking with a peer.

You can also show respect by respecting other’s feelings and actions. Also, respect can be shown by not getting in people’s personal space.

You can also be disrespectful by backing out of a thing you said, like when you say you are going to meet someone out for dinner then not come that is very disrespectful. Some other ways of not showing respect if you tease or make fun of somebody because of their race or differences. Another way of being disrespectful is to talk back to a authority that told you to do something. For example, if your teacher told you to go finish you to go do homework and you tell them no, that is very disrespectful.
